Red Silk Leadership is leadership shaped by self-awareness, courage, and restraint.
It balances sensitivity with authority, creativity with responsibility, and inner alignment with outward impact.
For those who sense the old models no longer fit, and who are realigning how they live and lead.

Red Silk Leadership is a six-month facilitated inquiry for senior women who sense that the way they are living and leading is no longer fully aligned with who they are becoming.
It is not a programme to complete or a performance to optimise. It is a confidential space to slow down, examine what is no longer sustainable, and make conscious choices about how you live, relate, and lead.
This work is for women who are capable, accomplished, and carrying significant responsibility, and who sense that the way they are currently living and leading is no longer sustainable.
The inquiry emerged through my own lived tension holding leadership work alongside a strong creative life. Through writing The Red Silk Dress, I began to see more clearly how often women are asked to fragment themselves in order to function. Red Silk Leadership grew as a response to that fragmentation.
The Shape of the Inquiry
The inquiry is grounded in the philosophy of Silk and Stone—a way of understanding leadership as the integration of relational intelligence and structural authority.
Over six months, we explore how this balance shows up in three essential spaces of life and leadership, moving from inner alignment to external expression:
Your relationship with yourself
Your relationship with time and with others
How you structure your life and work
Within these domains, we explore themes including:
• Authority and influence
• Ambition and expectation
• Pace and capacity
• Boundaries between work, family, and self
• The tension between strength and sensitivity
These are not abstract ideas. These are not abstract ideas. They are lived tensions—places where pressure, misalignment, exhaustion, and quiet longing surface when life is full, and responsibility is high.
Each session opens a theme. The space between the sessions allows you to live with the theme, notice what shifts, and return with lived experience to share with the group.
Silk and Stone is the philosophical foundation of Red Silk Leadership. It describes a form of embodied authority in which relational intelligence and structural authority are held in proportion.
Silk represents openness, perceptiveness, and relational intelligence—the ability to sense context, remain human under pressure, and influence without force.
Stone represents structural authority—clarity, boundary, steadiness, and the capacity to hold shape when decisions carry consequence.
Mature leadership does not choose between them.
It learns to embody both.
Women who step into this inquiry are not looking for more to do. They are looking for a different way to lead.
This work examines how you:
• Make decisions under pressure
• Relate to power, responsibility, and expectation
• Navigate tension without collapsing into urgency
• Speak, soften, or stand when it matters
• Structure your time and energy in ways that are sustainable
This is quiet work. It is also deeply practical.
As pressure reduces and clarity increases, women often find:
• Greater clarity about what matters, with less pull from other people’s urgency or expectation
• Simpler, more grounded decision-making
• Cleaner relationships, with fewer unspoken tensions
• Less over-functioning and more deliberate choice
• Days that feel more intentional and sustainable
• A deeper sense of being at home in themselves, even in demanding roles
Nothing here is about fixing anyone. It is about removing internal friction and learning to listen differently.
A six-month inquiry held within a small, confidential group for senior women navigating complexity, transition, growth, or recalibration in how they live and lead.
The structure includes:
• Up to four women
• Six 90-minute facilitated group sessions (online)
• One individual 60-minute Enneagram session (including full Enneagram profile assessment)
• Reflection prompts between sessions
• Clear confidentiality and group boundaries
The individual Enneagram session forms an integral part of the inquiry. It provides a shared psychological language to explore behavioural patterns, stress responses, and leadership reflexes with greater clarity and compassion. This strengthens the depth and precision of the inquiry.
Optional Integration Sessions
Two additional 60-minute one-to-one sessions.
In these sessions, we work directly with your current leadership and business challenges, drawing on structured lenses including the Enneagram and the Six ‘I’s® to translate insight into grounded decisions and deliberate action.

There is no performance required in this space. The work is reflective, rigorous, and grounded in your own context.
For some women, six months is enough. For others, the work opens the door to something they want to continue.
If continuation feels right, it will be named together near the end. If not, the six months stand complete.
Places are intentionally limited to preserve depth and quality of conversation.
This is a considered commitment of time and attention.

Founder of Women Who Lead
Red Silk Leadership is led by me.
I bring extensive experience working with senior leaders across sectors and cultures. As the author of Yes, You Can Innovate and the creator of The Six ‘I’s® of Innovation, my work has centred on helping individuals and organisations think differently, lead change, and build cultures capable of sustained innovation.
Alongside this, I am the author of The Red Silk Dress.
Writing the novel deepened my exploration of identity, power, longing, and transition—themes that sit at the heart of this inquiry.
Red Silk Leadership sits at the intersection of these worlds: disciplined leadership practice and the inner shifts that make sustainable change possible. It supports women navigating misalignment in leadership, work, and life.
How to Begin
If this work feels timely, the next step is a short conversation.
We will explore what is shifting in your leadership and whether this inquiry is the right container for you.
You decide with clarity.
For some women, this inquiry becomes a foundation for wider strategic or advisory work. For others, it stands complete.
